CTET Exam Notifications



The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE. 

CTET Notifications:

You can download CTET notification from the official website of Central Teacher Eligibility Test. CTET information bulletin is made available at: ctet.nic.in to download for applying online.

CTET Minimum Qualification:

For Classes 1 to 5:

Applicants should have a degree of Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

Or

Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)

Or

Bachelor and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

For Classes 6 to 8:
Bachelor and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

Or

Bachelor with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)

Note: applicants should read the CTET information bulletin to know about details of educational qualification for CBSE CTET exam eligibility. They can know about the relaxation in marks and educational qualification reading CTET information bulletin.

 Exam Pattern:
The exam pattern covers two papers for classes 1 to 8. There are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in each paper. Each question contains four alternative answers with one mark. There is no negative marking in CTET.

Paper I will be for those persons who intend to be teachers for classes I to V
Paper II will be for those applicants who intend to be teachers for classes VI to VIII

Note: those persons who want to be teachers for both levels in CTET (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) can appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

Candidates will face total 150 MCQs for Paper I (for Classes I to V) in CTET exam of 150 maximum marks. There are total 1 and half hours of time duration to solve these questions.

CTET syllabus for Paper I covers - Language I, Language II, Mathematics and Environmental Studies and Child Development and Pedagogy.

Candidates have to face total 150 MCQs for paper II (for classes VI to VIII) also in CBSE CTET exam. Candidates will have 1 and half hours to solve this paper.

CTET syllabus for Paper II covers - Language I, Language II, Social Studies or Mathematics and Science and Child Development and Pedagogy.

 Exam Date:

CTET exam date is notified through the advertisement details of Central Teacher Eligibility Test. Any changes in CTET exam date is updated through www.ctet.nic.in online.

CTET Medium of Questions:

Medium of questions for www.ctet.nic.in exam will be English or Hindi. Applicants are suggested to choose a medium of question while applying online.

Exam:

The  exam is notified through and advertisement to test the eligibility for the appointment to the teachers. CTET exam is the new process to recruit teachers for classes 1 to 8. You can check the notification for CTET exam visiting ctet.nic.in to know more details about eligibility criteria.

CTET Qualifying Marks:

Candidates have to secure minimum 60% marks to qualify in CTET 2012. CTET Certificate is issued to offer the statement of marks.

CTET Certificate:

Eligible candidates can get CTET certificate appearing in Central Teacher Eligibility Test exam. CTET Certificate is valid for a period of 7 years from the date of issue. There is no restriction of attempting CTET to improve or acquire CTET Certificate.

CTET Admit Card:

CTET Admit card download is made available to offer a duplicate hall ticket for written exam. Candidates can download CTET Admit card before written exam visiting official website.

Applicants are suggested to carry ctet.nic.in Admit card during the written exam along with necessary documents. They can download ctet.nic.in entering their registration number. www.ctet.nic.in Admit card download is notified through the information bulletin of Central Teacher Eligibility Test exam.

CTET Admit card is dispatched by post also to the eligible candidates. CTET hall ticket download for January 2012 exam will be made available from 3rd to 12th January, 2012. Candidates are suggested to download CTET call letter in this period if they don’t receive by the post.

Candidates can approach to the Assistant, CTET Unit, CBSE between 10 AM to 5 PM from 3rd to 12th January, 2012 for the CTET Admit card. Candidates must carry relevant documents and identity proof along with ctet.nic.in Admit card during the written exam.

CTET Online Form:

Candidates are advised to fill online form for CTET exam in prescribed format. Eligible candidates can download CTET online form visiting ctet.nic.in to apply online.

CTET Results:

CTET results are declared at: www.ctet.nic.in after written exam. Candidates are suggested to visit official website frequently after written exam to check CTET result online. Candidates can see their marks in written exam through ctet.nic.in results. Candidates can access their ctet.nic.in result entering hall ticket number.

You can check CBSE CTET results at: cbseresults.nic.in also. CTET 2012 result is scheduled to declare on 6th March, 2012.

Central Teacher Eligibility Test results are made available by entering hall ticket or registration number. Candidates can see their performance in CTET result. CTET score is declared by Central Teacher Eligibility Test result.

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a part of new recruiting body to test the eligibility of candidates for the appointment to the post of teachers in the schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UT of Chandigarh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. CTET is valid for the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.

7.9 lacs candidates were registered for CTET 2011. Central Teacher Eligibility Test to the Central Board of Secondary Education Delhi is conducted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
